Personal Profile:

As my father was in the British Army, I spent most of my early life traveling overseas. After 19 years in Central Africa I settled in Farnborough in 1984. I am married with 2 sons.

Throughout my 14- year career as a driving instructor, I have always given structured, targeted lessons, encouraging my pupils to concentrate their efforts to pass their tests with as few lessons as is feasible.

I am a Grade 5 instructor, and have been equally successful with pupils of all ages and cultures. I enjoy teaching pupils to drive, and always try to put them at their ease to ensure that they too enjoy their lessons and make good progress.

I am a qualified cricket coach with the English Cricket Coaching Board (ECCB), and have been coaching the junior teams in the area since 1991. As part of standard procedures for coaching juniors, I have been CRB (Criminal Record Board) cleared. This is not yet a standard requirement for being a driving instructor, but will become compulsory soon. Since being in the UK, I was also Chairman of our local Scout group and was a school governor for 5 years.
